Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has released a new job notification for recruitment of 228 Special Educators across Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) Schools in Assam for 2025. Eligibility Criteria for DEE Assam Special Educator 2025
Nationality & Residency
- Must be an Indian Citizen (Articles 5–8, Constitution of India).
- Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Age Limit (as on 01-08-2025)
- Unreserved: 18 to 40 years
- Ex-Servicemen: up to 42 years
- OBC/MOBC: up to 43 years
- SC/ST(P)/ST(H): up to 45 years
- Persons with Disability (PwD): up to 50 years
Educational Qualifications
For Special Educator (LP School):
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks
- 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognized by RCI
- Must have qualified ATET/CTET for LP
For Special Educator (UP School):
- Graduate with at least 50% marks
- B.Ed. (Special Education) recognized by RCI
- Must have qualified ATET/CTET for UP
Other Essential Criteria
- Must adhere to Assam’s Small Family Norms (not more than two living children after 01.01.2021)
- Language-I or Language-II in ATET/CTET must match the school’s medium of instruction.
